OUR CHEF

RICH REGAN

Rich Regan is a graduate of both Towson University and Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He has worked in a variety of restaurants from Auckland, New Zealand to Chicago to Baltimore. Rich and his wife, Kelly opened Monocacy Crossing in 2000. Rich and Kelly live in Frederick with their daughter, Emma.

Came up for lunch on a whim and left with a very great experience. The food was excellent, well presented, and the taste was surprising–excellent. I know I will be back to enjoy a big portion of good ole home cooking!

Monocacy Crossing consistently offers the best dining experience in Frederick. The food and the wine are always great. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. The portions are generous and the food is delicious. You can even purchase wine to go. Don’t be put off by the outward appearance of the property. The chef really knows what he is doing. Just witness the completely packed parking lot every night. We recommend reservations, unless you arrive before 6:00 pm. You will leave stuffed and completely satisfied, with a big smile on your face.

My husband and I eat at Monocacy Crossing at least once a week. The food is excellent. Fresh, quality ingredients deliciously prepared and presented. The service is top notch. No complaints! For me, there’s no better food, service, and value in any other Frederick restaurant. Next time you’re at FSK mall, forget about the chains on restaurant row. I urge you to head south a couple of miles and try this fabulous restaurant!

I have been driving past this place for years and finally decided to try it. It looks so small from the outside but it’s very spacious. It has a nice size out door patio as well as a nice bar. The service was great and the food was so delicious. I am so glad I finally went. It’s something for everyone. A casual out door and bar area for casual diners that just want to hang out and relax. The dining room was a little fancier with a very classy vibe. I enjoyed my evening so much, I can not wait to find another occasion to go back.
